Infrastructure department

The Infrastructure Department supports clubs in their search for new airfields and provides support for airfield approvals. The department also has the task of safeguarding existing airfields. Consultations and clarifications are offered with regard to airfields, noise abatement and operating regulations.

The Infrastructure Department is increasingly being recognized and contacted by the authorities as a specialist unit. The department also conducts dialogs with official and private environmental institutions such as the Sempach ornithological station, Pro Natura, Birdlife, etc.

The department is also responsible for the REM (guidelines for the use of model aircraft and the operation of model aircraft).

Markus Dormann has been in charge of the Infrastructure Department team since 2017.
